Laura Sandall
Laura Sandall is an events, promotion and marketing strategist with more than 25 years of experience. As the head of Gold Marketing Group, she is the brains and energy behind break-through marketing strategies, publicity programs and brand building initiatives. Prior to Gold Marketing Group, Laura was the Director of Events Marketing and Publicity for Target where she created some of the most groundbreaking marketing events in recent memory. She also spearheaded Target's entry into action sports and built relationships with designers that elevated Target's brand through vanguard marketing strategies. Her innovation returns far exceed expectations. In 2006 alone the work of her team generated more than 12.8 billion consumer media impressions - equivalent to more than $512 million in advertising. In addition, she has served as spokesperson on many marketing, business and merchandising initiatives. Prior to Target, Laura was with Marshall Field's, Carson Pirie Scott & Company and Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she worked on various marketing, special event and public relations' initiatives. Laura was once a finalist for Survivor - she's still waiting for them to call her back.
Kimberly Gottschalk
Kimberly plays an integral part in strategizing and executing Gold Marketing Group's lifestyle entertainment projects. She brings more than 15 years of events and marketing experience to her role, and previously served as the Vice President of Concert Promotions at entertainment firm Sue McLean & Associates. The company booked, promoted and produced over 175 concerts annually and Ms. Gottschalk was instrumental in promoting live events with established artists such as Norah Jones, Prince, Jack Johnson and The Counting Crows. Serving as the company's sponsorship liaison as well, Ms. Gottschalk executed cross-promotions with corporations such as Northwest Airlines, Ben & Jerry's and Best Buy. Kimberly also formerly held the National Talent Buyer position at Grand Casinos, Inc. In her downtime, Kimberly enjoys playing interpretive tambourine, shopping for sparkly shoes, and wishing every day was her birthday.
Kate Kerfoot
Kate Kerfoot is a senior events and strategic marketing professional with more than 10 years experience in the retail and event industries. She was part of Ms. Sandall's team at Target that built and cultivated world-class events and publicity strategies - regionally, nationally and internationally. She spearheaded event strategies around merchandising initiatives, product launches, community relations programs and brand building. Kate's skills include innovative event execution, publicity tactic development, project leadership, budget management and strategic partnership development. Kate was previously a Marketing Manager for a small Marketing company in Minneapolis where she developed large-scale partnership marketing programs and executed promotions on behalf of her clients. Most recently she has been an independent marketing consultant for various retail and small business clients. Kate spends a great deal of her spare time convincing her two small children, that despite evidence to the contrary, she really is in charge.
Rob Goldberg
As the founder and CEO of GMG Entertainment and Gold Marketing Group, Rob saw the evolution of the entertainment, media and marketing worlds that is continuing to unfold. He set out to create a company that could provide value to the consumer through new ideas and new ways of bringing those ideas to life. Prior to founding GMG, Rob was Vice President, Partnership Marketing at LAUNCH Media (now Yahoo! Music). As the creator of Partnership Marketing, Rob was responsible for creating and executing integrated programming and marketing partnerships for global brands across the LAUNCH Media properties including the LAUNCH Concert Series and Warped Tour. Additionally, during his seven years at LAUNCH, Rob was responsible for creating the successful strategic partnership between Yahoo! Music and Target Corporation that continues to this day. Rob's entrepreneurial spirit began early when at age 22 he was founder and CEO of the llizwe Trading Company, a youth-focused footwear and apparel company based in Cape Town, South Africa. Rob has a B.A. in English/Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin Madison which qualified him to be a bartender. Rob currently holds a patent for a promotional marketing product.
